The Ezekiel is a large fishbowl-shaped ship used by Solaris in Xenogears.

Description

The most powerful ship among the fleet of Solaris. It is an Excelsior Class Aerial Battleship. Rather than simply being a vessel, it is akin to being a moving base. It is the flagship of the Solaris fleet and has Krelian onboard and in command. It has incredible attack power, endurance power and mobility. While it isn't used in battle often it is revered among the Solaris fleet and is able to pose a threat to other countries by its presence alone.

Analysis

Despite its importance, the Ezekiel only appears a few times in the game and is never actually named. It first appears in Nortune when Miang, dressed as The Executioner appears and talks with Kaiser Sigmund. It later appears in the Aquvy region, launching an attack of Wels on the Thames. The Thames Captain describes it as a fishbowl shaped ship (in English) or octopus trap (in Japanese). Krelian is later seen aboard the ship making orders. It temporarily remains in the Aquvy region until Bishop Stone is able to recover Emeralda from the Ethos Dig Site after which time it departs.

Although it doesn't appear again, the Ezekiel presumably remains as a primary base of operations for the characters from Solaris, particularly after Solaris itself is destroyed at the end of disc 1.
