Wyvern is a Gear piloted by Ramsus in Xenogears.
Description[edit]
A Gear that was provided to Ramsus by Emperor Cain for his exclusive use. It is a Gear that is appropriate for the Gebler Commander. It was designed under the concept of being the ultimate Gear, and was designed by Hyuga (Citan), combining all the various weapons available at Gebler. Ordinary parts supplied to Solaris Gears were not sufficient and it is a one of a kind Gear with exclusive parts. It has three separate generators to permit maximum output, and both shoulders have active armor plasma devices. The exterior frame is heavy grade in nature but it is still light to facilitate its movement. Parts connected to the shoulder's active armor are large type bullet Aerods. They have a power far greater than ordinary Aerods. It also has a beam sword that can be used in battle. It also has a steel sword that was forged by quelled people previously. Nothing was spared in its development, although it doesn't have the next generation technology of fusing humans with Gears through nanotechnology.
Analysis[edit]
Ramsus' Gear first appears when he is in the desert on the Aveh - Kislev border and Id appears. Ramsus quickly heads out to take Id on in Wyvern, but within mere seconds Id has knocked off limbs and rendered it unable to continue. Miang carries the Wyvern away in her Gear, C1 Vierge. Ramsus next appears wielding the Gear as the party ascends Babel Tower. Here he uses it to directly fight the party, but is defeated. Ramsus again gets in Wyvern to try and fight off Id as Weltall-Id heads towards Solaris. Despite not even having a pilot, it blows right past the Wyvern with ease. In order to upgrade the Gear's power and use it to acquire Elly, Krelian arranges for the Gear to be aligned with the Anima Relic Zebulun, which creates the Omnigear Vendetta.
