Grandgrowl is a Gear piloted by Seraphita in Xenogears.
Description[edit]
The lion-shaped Grandgrowl acts as the core of the four fused Element Gears when combined as G-Elements. Its fire ether engine is used at maximum capacity at that time. This was not in the original design, but was included for general use similar to Marinebasher.
Story[edit]
Grandgrowl is the Gear piloted by Seraphita, one of the Elements. The party only fights it directly at one part during the game, when the party is seeking to fire a shot from Fort Jasper at Babel Tower's mirror to destroy a Gate. Seraphita and Tolone attack the party and fight them in two separate battles with their Gears. The Gear later appears at the First Anima Dungeon, but combines with the other 3 Element Gears to fight the party as G-Elements. Seraphita pilots the Gear when the Elements head to Merkava, although the party doesn't fight them at this time.
