Haishao is a Gear piloted by various antagonists in Xenogears.
Description[edit]
The Haishao is a Gear specifically designed for use in the ocean. Its tail is loaded with a large hydrophone which is used to determine the enemy's position and strength via sonar. Its arms have electromagnetic claws and the Aerod system can be controlled from a distance for usage within the ocean.
Story[edit]
The Haishao is initially piloted by Dominia with Kelvena acting as co-pilot. While on an unrelated mission, Dominia detects the Yggdrasil in the area and ignoring orders uses the Haishao to attack it. During the battle, Elly is kidnapped and brought back to the Gebler battleship. Ramsus later utilizes it to attack the party a second time, accompanied by Miang in her Gear C1 Vierge. While he too is defeated in it, he is able to deal significant damage to the Weltall and Fei before retreating.
