Issachar is an E.S. unit that appears in the Xenosaga series. It is possessed by Ormus and is piloted by Pellegri.

Description[edit]

Issachar was primarily built in order to handle multiple simultaneous multi-directional ether attacks. this makes it one of Ormus' most air-combat capable units. Its ether connection base can be used as a flexible shield. It also has a spear that is used for close-range defense.

Story[edit]

Episode II[edit]

Issachar is an E.S. unit possessed by Ormus. Margulis provided Pellegri with permission to utilize it early in the game, telling her it has been equipped with a Vessel of Anima and to handle it with care. Pellegri uses Issachar to lead an effort to try and capture MOMO on Second Miltia along with her subordinates Richard and Hermann. However when Canaan takes part in fighting her off with another E.S., Asher, the units act strangely and Pellegri is forced to retreat. She appears with the E.S. later in the game at the Ormus Stronghold, fighting the party as they try to retreat after setting off a self-detonation device. After being defeated, Pellegri departs in the unit.

Episode III[edit]

Pellegri confronts the party on Michtam near the Space Port area, following the party's defeat of Gad and Joseph. After the party defeats her, the unit is destroyed and its Vessel of Anima is recovered by Voyager's E.S. unit, Dan. Issachar is destroyed along with the other E.S. by Joshua when Zarathustra goes out of control with its wing being assimilated into Joshua.
