E.S. Naphtali is an E.S. unit that appears in the Xenosaga series. It is piloted by Virgil.

Description[edit]

Naphtali is specialized for gun combat. It has reduced mobility in comparison to other E.S. units which is made up by the power of its weapon stores. It has the ability to transform into cruising mode.

Story[edit]

Episode I[edit]

Naphtali is the E.S. piloted by Virgil while under the guise of the Blue Testament. Naphtali appears with Virgil standing on top of it after the appearance of Proto Merkabah when he complains to the Red Testament.

Episode II[edit]

Naphtali appears along with Dan and Judah at the Ω System when the Testaments kill Sergius XVII and revive Albedo. It also appears along with them, Joshua and Simeon in the final scene of the game.

Episode III[edit]

Virgil pilots it when he attacks the party within the Bedrock Layer section of the Floating Landmass. After the party defeats it, it is abandoned and Albedo's E.S., Simeon recovers its Vessel of Anima. Naphtaili is destroyed along with the other E.S. by Joshua when Zarathustra goes out of control with its legs being assimilated into Joshua.

Virgil's unit.

Virgil's unit. Specialized for gun combat. It lags slightly behind other E.S. units in its mobility, but the attacks unleashed by its innumerable weapon stores make up the difference. It has a transforming mechanism that lets it go into a cruising configuration.
