Joshua is a mechanical craft that appears in the Xenosaga series. It is piloted by Wilhelm. It is also the power source of the Dämmerung.

Description[edit]

Joshua is a mechanical craft developed and piloted by Wilhelm. It is not an E.S. unit as it does not require a Vessel of Anima. After Zarathustra goes out of control, Joshua assimilated parts from the twelve remaining E.S.s.

Story[edit]

Episode II[edit]

Joshua appears in the final scene of the game when Wilhelm stands on top of it while he talks with the Testaments.

Episode III[edit]

Wilhelm continues using Joshua throughout the game and is ultimately is used as a key for Zarathustra for the Eternal Recurrence by sealing Abel inside of it. When Zarathustra goes out of control, Joshua begins assimilating various E.S. parts to transform into a mechanical monstrosity but is stopped by the party. Joshua later vanishes when chaos and Nephilim uses their power to transport Michtam to Lost Jerusalem.

Trivia[edit]

  • Joshua is most likely named after Jesus Christ as the name Joshua is one way of translating his name.
