Bethlehem is an area in Xenogears. It is the location where the Zohar is located.
Story[edit]
Bethlehem is the area where the Zohar landed after the crash of the Eldridge. For 10,000 years the Zohar's location remained a secret. While Fei is encased in carbonite in Shevat in order to restrain Id's power, Id is able to take control and break out, heading to Bethlehem. The party members follow and confront him there, with the assistance of Wiseman, who is revealed to be Khan Wong. Due to its contact with Zohar, Id's Gear transforms, and the party must battle it. Due to Fei's successful attempt to reconcile his personalities, Id's Gear turns into Xenogears. Fei heads to see his father, but at that moment Grahf appears, revealing he had taken over Khan's body years before. Grahf and his Gear Alpha Weltall (titled True Weltall in the boss fight) are defeated. At that moment the Zohar restrains Fei and Xenogears. Grahf sacrifices himself to ensure free Fei so he can defeat Deus.
Geography[edit]
Bethlehem is located on a snow covered island in the northwestern part of the world. It is located on the same island as Anima Dungeon 2, to the west of it. It cannot be revisited.
