Agnus (アグヌス, Agnus) is one of the nations of Aionios in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. It is the home of the playable characters Mio, Taion, and Sena, as well as Glimmer in Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed.

Agnus has a Japanese aesthetic, using primarily white and yellow-green for their clothing, weapons, and equipment. Compared to their mutual enemy Keves, their ether technology is vastly superior, which is mostly used for unmanned mobile weapons. Agnian people have enhanced physical strength and possess some sort of glowing crystal somewhere on their body, while many have additional mystical traits, such as glowing lines across their skin or eternally-burning hair.

Trivia[edit]

  • Agnus' name means 'Pure' or 'Holy' in Greek, but can also be translated as 'Lamb' or 'Sheep' in Latin. This is analogous to the meaning of Keves, the other main nation in Aionios.
  • Agnus may also be a reference to Aveh, a nation in Xenogears, due to similar spelling. People of Aveh (and Kislev) are sometimes referred to as '-Lambs-', tying in with the above meaning.
