Insidias are enemies in Xenoblade Chronicles X under the Theroid classification. These dinosaur-like carnivores are armless, but fight primarily with their powerful legs.

Although similar in appearance to caecuses, insidias are actually more similar to evellos in terms of combat.

Description[edit]

Concealed among the trees, these dinosaur-like carnivores wait for prey to wander by, then use their powerful legs to close in for the kill. If a stronger creature poses a threat, insidias will violently cough up stones from their digestive tracts, creating a brief window which can be used to beat a hasty retreat.

Herds consist of several insidias with no special regard for gender or age. During breeding season, multiple herds gather in a single spot for mate selection. Those who fail to acquire mates assume nursing duty, helping others to raise their young.

In combat[edit]

Insidias only have physical attacks, although they do have the ability to fire rocks at faraway enemies if need be. The insidia's strongest attack is the Drop Kick, which hits pretty hard and inflicts Knockback on any enemies in its way.

Insidias' melee and ranged attack increase by 40% when they are enraged at 10% health or lower.
