Amalthus is fought in Lv. 4, Megrez in the Upper Level of the World Tree, after the party defeat Jin there.

Unlike most enemies, Amalthus will not instantly enrage upon reaching a certain HP threshold. Instead, he will use God Rage after losing half his health, becoming invincible during the Art, forcing Launch on every party members, then enraging. This means that even if his Rage is purged by Corvin's Lacerna Noctis Special, Amalthus can enrage again by reusing the Art.

Trivia[edit]

As the hole he came from is in the arena, it is possible to "golf" Amalthus into it using Blowdown reactions, such as the one from the Steam Explosion Blade Combo finisher. This results in Amalthus dying instantly to the death plane.
