Mintia is a boss in Xenosaga Episode I - Der Wille zur Macht. She is one of the game's secret bosses.

Description

Mintia can be encountered in the Kukai Foundation at any point in the game during the Gnosis attack the Foundation. She can be found in the City 26/27 Sector area, in a room that is located on the second floor of the Iron Man Bar. MOMO must be the party's lead member for her to appear. Mintia does not permit the party to use any A.G.W.S. during the battle.

Strategy

Mintia very aggressive towards any male characters, so it is best to face her using MOMO, Shion and KOS-MOS. Her primary attack is Dark Star, for which there are multiple versions, including a version that will push the character to the back row. Her Dark Snake attack will inflict the Attack Poison status effect, while Shadow Eye will lower a character's dexterity. She also has the ability to disable a character's ability to use the button in their attacks. Finally, Mintia can summon her pet Bibo, which takes the appearance of a giant eye. Bibo will either inflict damage upon all of the party members, or drain all but 1 of a party member's HP, healing Mintia for that amount.

Upon beating Mintia, MOMO will be provided with the Dark Scepter.
