Abel was the original incarnation of Fei. 10,000 years before the events of the game, he made contact with the [[Wave Existence]] which had been captured within the [[Zohar]]. The Zohar enabled the power of the Wave Existence to flow into Abel, making him the [[Contact]], the one destined to destroy Deus and enable the Wave Existence to return to the higher dimension. The Wave Existence incorporated the human nature of Abel and his desire for a mother, creating Elly as a part of the system meant to resurrect Deus.

Story arc

Abel was the original incarnation of Fei. 10,000 years before the events of the game, he made contact with the Wave Existence which had been captured within the Zohar. The Zohar enabled the power of the Wave Existence to flow into Abel, making him the Contact, the one destined to destroy Deus and enable the Wave Existence to return to the higher dimension. The Wave Existence incorporated the human nature of Abel and his desire for a mother, creating Elly as a part of the system meant to resurrect Deus.

Abel was the sole human survivor of the Eldridge crash, protected by his role as the Contact. All on his own, he was eventually found by the original Elly and lived with her from that point onwards. At that time, Cain and the Gazel Ministry, the first humans born on the planet via Deus, were in control of the human civilization established on the planet in the aftermath of the Eldridge crash. Once he had become an adult, Abel rebelled against their leadership and Cain planned to kill him. However, Elly stepped in the way, sacrificing herself to shield Abel.

Lore

Abel's name is drawn from the Bible, where he was the second son of Adam and Eve. Abel's older brother, Cain, envied him and killed him, the first murder in history.

The character directly inspired the character Abel who appears in the Xenosaga series.
