Zeboim
Zeboim is a civilization from Xenogears that existed approximately 4,000 years prior to the events of the game.
History[edit]
While humanity had reached its intellectual peak around the year 6,000, the populace suffered from a short life span (approximately 30 years) due to widespread inborn genetic damage. The amount of the populace that were unable to reproduce also increased. Many began to despair due to the inability to increase their lifespan. As such, the Miang of this era, who was a close advisor to the Head of State, judged this era's humans to be ineffective to become parts of Deus. In conversations with the Gazel Ministry, it was decided that humanity would be reset via widescale nuclear war. Relations with other countries deteriorated, leading to large scale war. In addition, the anti-government organization Ravine acted as a resistance group. Nuclear war would occur across the surface of the planet. While a small part of humanity successfully found shelter and escaped destruction, the vast majority of humanity, approximately 90% died as nuclear holocaust-type events occurred everywhere. The Zeboim civilization sunk to the bottom of the ocean and was forgotten for almost 4,000 years.
Remnants of the Zeboim civilization found in the current day include the Ethos Dig Site, Mass Driver and Lighthouse.
