Yuzet is a NPC in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. He is the lieutenant of Colony 30 under Valdi.

Appearance and personality

Yuzet is a teenage boy with grey skin with golden lines resembling the skin of Machina. He has short blueish black hair with an undercut and blue eyes. He wears grey frame glasses and a Kevesi uniform with round pauldrons.

Yuzet is the keystone of Colony 30. Hardworking and very devoted to Valdi, he pushes himself to exhaustion by taking up most of the commander's duties on his own shoulders, knowing Valdi tends to take things too lightly. He tries hard to not show weakness in front of Valdi and to act as dependable as he can to him, to the point where Valdi doesn't notice Yuzet has been pushing his limits for him until he collapses.

Story arc

The Kind Right Hand

Unable to find him in the colony, Yuzet calls Valdi via Iris to ask him where he is and warn him Consul Q is looking for him. To his dismay, Valdi simply confirms he is outside the colony and ask his lieutenant to make something up for the Consul, before hanging up. Yuzet tries to call him again after loosing the signal from Valdi's Levnises. Valdi quickly reassures him and promises to be back soon, before hanging up on him again.

Big Friendly Friend

Following the destruction of the Flame Clock, Yuzet is overwhelmed by Nopon unrest. The Nopon used to work on Levnises all day, but with no need for war, they have a shortage of Levnis to repair. Valdi comes to his rescue by offering to put the Nopon to work on Dorrick. Yuzet gladly agrees, on the condition that they don't raid Colony 30's materials to build it.

Missing Parts

Some thief in Colony 30 has stolen parts from Mechafriend. Finding out it was Widgewidge and Dinkidinki, the party drags them in front of Valdi and Yuzet to be judged. Valdi quickly forgives them when they apologize, and Yuzet warns them they will be put on cleaning duty if they cause trouble again.

The True Culprit?

New information on the Mechafriend parts theft come to light and point out at Pulipuli as the mastermind behind it. After investigating, the party finds out he was trying to leak intel to Alexandria from Colony Iota - without her knowledge. As the Nopon is dragged in front of Valdi and Yuzet for judgement, Valdi once again forgives the Nopon and lets him go against the promise to be good and work hard.

I'm a Mechanic

Valdi finds Yuzet in the infirmary, where he ended up after collapsing from exhaustion. He explains that he had to work hard to make up for the loss of Castle support, and didn't inform Valdi of his struggles because he thought he could manage on his own, to which Repapa retort Yuzet worked hard for Valdi's sake and refused to show weakness in front of him. Valdi insists on helping Yuzet, and he eventually agrees to let him handle a Levnis shipment to Colony Lambda.

When Valdi comes back to Colony 30 to report his success with Colony Lambda, he finds Yuzet struggling with a levnite shortage in Colony 30. Colony 4 is meant to deliver a shipment, but they're unable to. Valdi decides to head for Colony 4 to see what he can do. When he comes back with the levnite, Yuzet is feeling better enough to stand up again. Valdi thanks him for his hard work and promises to help him in the future, causing Yuzet to lash out at him for all the times Valdi has caused new problems by trying to help. Valdi smiles at his anger, happy to see him well enough to yell at him, and though Yuzet's workload problem may not be resolved, he and Valdi are able to connect through their strange dynamic.
