The Sabre is a sword-and-gun combination used by Dickson. It is used in gameplay twice: the Battle of Sword Valley, and the Mechon fight when Dunban permanently joins the party.
The unique gems attached to the weapon guarantee that Dickson cannot be killed or toppled during either battle. This is unlikely in any case; nothing has topple in the first fight and enemies are far more likely to be attacking Dunban the whole time, and Dickson greatly outlevels the enemies in the second fight.
