BLADE was created in order to find the location of the Lifehold Core, and many of the Story Missions revolve around the organization attempting to find and secure it before it runs out of power. The Core remotely powers the mimeosomes and contains the bodies of the humans that fled Earth. Its location is unknown throughout the game until Chapter 12, where it is revealed to be in the Cauldros Waters. The Lifehold Core was originally part of the White Whale, but it separated from the ship and crashed into the waters of Mira when the White Whale crashlanded there. It is meant to contain the bodies of the humans that fled Earth, since the mimeosomes that they inhabit are only meant to be remotely-controlled vessels. Additionally, it is capable of using the protoplasmic fluid stored within to recreate Earth's life, as long as the data that comprises them is kept safe. The Lifehold Core has its own power source and self-defense measures, but its own power is limited. The BLADE Tower has a display that shows how much power the Lifehold Core has: if it runs out, the mimeosomes will shut down and all the humans on Mira will die. After Chapter 12 is completed, the Lifehold Core cannot be entered again, but the space around the area gains collectibles that can be reached by flight. BLADE soldiers and Skells are stationed at each entrance. ==Geography== incomplete ==Landmarks== * Interior ==Enemies== ===Story-exclusive enemies=== * Major Chimera * Mezzo Chimera * Minor Chimera * Queen Chimera * Soldier Chimera ===Bosses=== * Enhancer Satellis * Lao (part 1) * Lao (part 2) * Link Satellis * Pursuit Satellis Alpha * Pursuit Satellis Beta * Pursuit Satellis Gamma * Shield Satellis * Strike Satellis * Vita (part 1) * Vita (part 2) ==Weather== ==In other languages== ==Gallery== <gallery> XCX Lifehold Core exterior minimap.png|Minimap view of the exterior of the Lifehold Core XCX Lifehold Core interior minimap.png|Minimap view of the interior of the Lifehold Core </gallery> XCX Regions Navbox
