Doom is an attribute of some attacks in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. A hit which inflicts Doom will deal damage equal to the target's current HP, instantly defeating or incapacitating them. This cannot be negated by Armor Veil and overrides the ordinary damage cap of 9,999,999.
Invincible characters are immune to Doom. If an Ouroboros is hit by a Doom-inflicting attack, the heat gauge will instantly jump to full, causing it to overheat.
Bosses and unique monsters are immune to being inflicted with Doom under most circumstances, except for when an aquatic unique monster is beached.
List of attacks that can inflict Doom[edit]
By party members[edit]
- Cut In Half makes every hit have a 5.91% chance of inflicting Doom. (The value is actually 3%, but the check is run twice.)
- Dimension Ripper (Attacker), (Defender), and (Healer) inflict Doom on enemies with 30% HP or less.
- Predation has a 5% chance to inflict Doom on enemies with 30% HP or less.
- Resonant Edge has a 50% chance at max level to inflict Doom on enemies with 30% HP or less.
- In Future Redeemed, one of the skills in Rex's Affinity Growth grants a 1% chance to inflict Doom on enemies with 30% HP or less.
