The Encephalon is an virtual reality world in the Xenosaga series.
Description[edit]
In order to commence an Encephalon dive, the person are required to wear special goggles and be connected via, the U.M.N.. The Encephalon recreates the location to the smallest detail. It is so advanced that even if someone closes their eyes, they're still immersed in it.
Hazards[edit]
Since the Encephalon connects to the U.M.N., there's a high probability that Gnosis will be encountered during the dive. Additionally, the person will still suffer actual injury and can lead to death.
