Zavarov is a planet in the Xenosaga series. It is the location of the Yuriev Institute. As such, it is heavily featured in Xenosaga Episode II - Jenseits von Gut und Böse.
Description[edit]
Zavarov is a planetary member of the Galaxy Federation. It and its greater system, the Vartas system, are politically aligned with the Salvator Faction. As such, Zavarov is the perfect home for the Yuriev Institute and its operations under Dmitri Yuriev.
Story[edit]
Zavarov was the home of Juli Mizrahi and Sakura Mizrahi at least 14 years prior to the events of Xenosaga. It was here that Sakura underwent experiments with the U.R.T.V.s that involved diving into her subconscious to treat her Central Nervous System Disorder. At the same time, the Federation's Special Operations forces, commanded by Lieutenant General Helmer, were stationed on Zavarov. Among these forces was Colonel Margulis and two of his subordinates, Jin Uzuki and Pellegri.
At the onset of the Miltian Conflict, Zavarov became the base of operations for the Federation's Peacekeeping Detachment Fleet. As such, soldiers, combat Realians, and U.R.T.V.s alike were deployed from this planet for each descent operation on Miltia.

After the separation from Joachim, Juli Mizrahi lived on this planet with Sakura. Since it belonged to a solar system near Miltia's, it became the base of operations for the Galaxy Federation Peacekeeping Detachment Fleet during the Miltian Conflict.
