We Are the Chosen Ones is Disc 4, Track 2 on the Xenoblade2 Original Soundtrack and Disc 9, Track 2 on the Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtrack Trinity Box.

It plays in the Indoline Praetorium during the night.

The final lyrical line only plays on the soundtrack, never in game, as the in-game music loops over the penultimate line. The piece has official Japanese lyrics in addition to the song's English; see Our Eternal Land for details.

街の音楽で歌詞が入った曲というのは僕の携わったゲームではなかったです。これは一つのチャレンジでもありました。場合によってはミスマッチになりやすいですし、歌詞が邪魔になる可能性もあります(特に英語詞なので海外の方にとっては)。ただ所感として、教会の中で流れている聖歌やミサ曲を意識せず聞き流している、というシチュエーションにすれば新たな感覚でプレイできるのでは？と思いチャレンジしてみました。

I had never written a town theme with lyrics for a game before. This is just one of the many challenges of composing for games. In many situations it would be a bad fit, since the lyrics can interfere with your enjoyment of the game (especially for English speakers, since the lyrics are in English). However, in a place like a church, you would expect to hear ambient hymns and songs from a Catholic Mass. Wouldn’t that be a novel feeling for a game soundtrack? These were my thoughts as I tackled this compositional challenge.
