Walking with You is Disc 5, Track 6 on the Xenoblade2 Original Soundtrack and Disc 10, Track 6 on the Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtrack Trinity Box. It is an orchestral version of Desolation.
It plays in the following cutscenes in Xenoblade Chronicles 2:

- Malos lands the final blow against Vandham at the Olethro Ruins.
- Rex mourns over the death of Fan la Norne in Temperantia.
- Rex and the party confront Jin and Malos at the Cliffs of Morytha.
- Jin eats Lora's heart, becoming a Flesh Eater (flashback).
- Mikhail urges the party to chase after Jin and Malos at the World Tree.
- Jin kills Amalthus, leading to him losing his own life.
- Malos tells the party of Jin's pain and how he views himself as a "hideous monster, far beyond saving".
- Pneuma tells Poppi and Azurda what she wanted her open-ended promise to be.
- Theory returns to a Core Crystal after killing her Driver in her and Praxis's second Blade Quest, Blade-Sharp Memory.

実は、別れ曲は「哀惜」と合わせて11曲書いていて、なかなか総監督の思っている世界観に辿り着けなかったのです。自分としては気に入っていたのですが、総監督のイメージを汲み取りきれていませんでした。今考えると、自分の思い入れが強すぎて、イメージが凝り固まっていたかもしれません。いい意味で自分のイメージを捨てて最後は取り組みました。そして今は、残ったこの曲が一番この作品に合っていい曲になったと実感しています。
