Upper Level is a sub-area in Mor Ardain in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It is the upper level of the Ardainian Titan, housing many geothermal plants.
Landscape[edit]
The upper level of the Ardainian Titan is located on its left shoulder, spanning most of it. It mostly features wastelands, dotted with industrial installations such as mines, chimneys and plants, as well as an abandoned city that links it to the Lower Level.
On its south side, the upper level is linked to the imperial capital, Alba Cavanich, through Midorl Bridge, a heavily guarded bridge due to the risks of monster attacks.
The center of the upper level is where most of its active industrial constructs are found, such as geothermal turbines, the Great Heat Extraction Duct, multiple chimneys, all the way to the Geothermal Mining Plant at the northmost point. Due to the wasteland's unwelcoming environment, a cable car system was put in place, running from the capital's Smùide Mountain to the mining plant, that is supported by multiple pylons running along the central section.
A huge mine, Mine No. 2, can be found on the eastern side of the upper level. However, its grounds have been occupied by a rebel organization, Brionac, which has made the area its headquarters. The path to the mine's entrance is a winding path at the bottom of some plateaus that begins near Midorl Bridge.
The western side of the upper level consists mainly of an abandoned settlement, the Old Industrial District and the Old City of Teddim. The Old Industrial District is mostly labyrinthic, spanning multiple floors with many rooms, such as a canteen, an infirmary, a control room, a warehouse and a refinery. The Old City of Teddim is an abandoned city that was built into the cliffside that is now the hideout of Ignas. Multiple sets of stairs around the area lead to the Chansagh Wastes on the lower level of the Titan.
Even more to the north of the Old City of Teddim is a hidden hot spring, the Nopon Pioneers' Spring, accessed by walking along the cliffside.
