This Year's Heropon is the twenty-fourth Challenge in the Land of Challenge in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It is unlocked after the main story is completed.
Tora has to fight solo against Nopon throughout not just Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but also Xenoblade Chronicles X and the first Xenoblade Chronicles, finishing off with a fight against Monopon, a Nopon employee of Monolith Soft. This challenge has the most waves out of any challenge.

Trivia[edit]
- This challenge's waves are sorted by games, the first four waves feature Nopon from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, the next four feature Nopon from Xenoblade Chronicles X, and the four after feature Nopon from Xenoblade Chronicles. The challenge wraps up with a battle against Monolithsoft's mascot, Monopon. Furthermore, each of the non-final waves have a theme going:
- Wave 1 are all Argentum residents, most of them shopkeepers.
- Wave 2 are all part of the 12 Brothersisterpon.
- Wave 3 are heavily involved in at least one quest.
- Wave 4 is Niranira, the most prominent Nopon in the game aside from Tora (already in the challenge) and Bana. It's not clear why Bana was skipped over.
- Wave 5 are the four Nopon spirits encountered during the mission The Divine Nopopon.
- Wave 6 are all Nopon caravan leaders.
- Wave 7 are all siblings of Tatsu.
- Wave 8 is Tatsu himself, the game's designated Nopon sidekick.
- Wave 9 are all male.
- Wave 10 are all female.
- Wave 11 are all residents of Frontier Village, and most are active in the pollen orb industry.
- Wave 12 is Heropon Riki.
