Shop (XC2)

From Xeno Series Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search
This article is about shops in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Torna. For shops in other games, see Shop (disambiguation).

Shops can be found throughout Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country. Most shops will exchange Gold for certain items in stock: Pouch items, Accessories, Core Chips, Cylinders, treasure Collectibles and Info items. Inns, exchanges and crafting locations are also considered as shops. The player can sell almost any item at any shop for the same price (with some exception such as key items and unique Core Crystals). At first, the purchase value of an item is twice its sale value. Raising the development level of an area will bring down the value of items sold in the area, down to being the same as the sale value at development level 5. Additionally, some shops do not only take gold as payment, instead using collectibles and other items, sometimes with gold, to craft items. Traveling bards take Bonus EXP as payment.

Types of shops[edit]

Many types of shops can be found around Alrest. They are as follows:

  • Lifestyle shops - Shops where pouch items are sold. These shops are also the ones that can have deeds for sale.
  • Accessory shops - Shops where accessories are sold.
  • Core Chip dealers - Shops where Core Chips are sold.
  • Aux Core shops - Shops where unrefined Aux Cores can be refined using collectibles.
  • Inns - Special shops where the party can stay to raise or lower their level by using Bonus EXP and change the tide on certain Titans.
  • Salvager's shops - Shops that sell cylinders.
  • Item trading shops - Also known as exchanges, they are shops where mechanical collectibles and treasures can be exchanged for gold and boosters.
  • Treasure shops - Shops that sell treasure and other miscellaneous items that don't fit in any other shops, such as Core Crystals.
  • Informants - Shops that specialize in selling info items.
  • Crafting shops - Shops that use the same system as item trading shops, albeit to create items, usually unlocked through quests.
  • Traveling bards - Shops that appear during New Game Plus and exchange Bonus EXP for a variety of items.
