Shion's pendant
Shion's pendant is an object in the Xenosaga series. She wears it throughout the entire trilogy.
Description[edit]
Shion's pendant is made out of a blue-green crystal tied in a gold chain. It is revealed that the pendant is made out of the same material as the Underground Ruins crystals. It's true purpose is the ignition key to Zarathustra for the Eternal Recurrence.
Story[edit]
Kevin's mother gave his son the pendant just before she transforms into a Gnosis as Michtam is being destroyed by them. He later gives the pendant to Shion during a date with her and wears it throughout the entire trilogy. On Michtam, the pendant leads her to the Underground Ruins and eventually Zarathustra. When Shion refuses to use it to activate it, Wilhelm tortures her until Kevin severs his arm. He then tries to persuade KOS-MOS to use the key, only for her to destroy it. Inside the pendant contains two flower pedals.

Trivia[edit]
- The pendant is almost present on all of Shion's character models throughout the trilogy (even when taking a shower on the Elsa). The only times that it is not present is when she is wearing her Scientia outfit, disguised as a U-TIC employee and in her white shirt in Episode III.
- Strangely it is not seen on Shion's Swimsuit battle model, despite being seen while she and the party are at the Kukai Foundation's private beach in Episode I. Similarly, it is not present on Shion's Vector uniform in Episode II.
