Shevat is an area in Xenogears. The party travels here after climbing Babel Tower
Story[edit]
The party travels to Shevat via Babel Tower hoping to find out more about the M Plan, as well as the mysterious Gear Seibzehn and the pilot of it. After defeating the Seibzehn atop Babel Tower, they are permitted entrance and meet its pilot, Maria. The party is able to travel throughout Shevat, eventually meeting up with Queen Zephyr in the palace, who requests that they help the country fight against Solaris. When an intruder strikes, the party heads to the Gear Dock along with Maria, but is forced to travel through the shafts first after the elevator malfunctions. They eventually make their way to Seibzehn where Dominia is revealed as the intruder. This was part of a plan by Solaris to lower Shevat's defenses and a formal invasion soon occurs.
The party agrees to help defend Shevat and takes on four boss battles. Maria is hesitant to take on the Gear leading the invasion, Achtzehn as it was a Gear developed by her father Nikolai and his voice can be heard from it. Chu-Chu heads out to fight the Achtzehn instead but Maria eventually joins in and the Achtzehn is defeated. Meeting with Queen Zephyr afterwards, the party agrees to seek out the Gates on the surface that are hiding Solaris. They also agree to bring Maria alongside with them. Before leaving the party meets with the sage Gaspar, who removes their physical limiters, permitting the party to perform 7 AP deathblows.
After the party regains the ability to enter the World Map on Disc 2, Shevat can be explored as the Snowfield Hideout that forms the various refugees around the world, effectively becoming last bastion of civilization on the planet.
Geography[edit]
Shevat was formerly situated atop Babel Tower in the Aquvy region, although currently it wanders the skies. Present day Shevat consists of the city of Aphel Aura, the Palace and docks where the Gears are stored. The party can return to Shevat at any point during Disc 1, but cannot revisit it in Disc 2, being replaced by the Snowfield Hideout.
