Reward Tickets, called Material Tickets in the Definitive Edition, are items in Xenoblade Chronicles X. They can be exchanged at (in the Wii U version) the Network Console in the BLADE Barracks or (in the Definitive Edition) the Material Market menu for materials which are otherwise only dropped by enemies. This makes them useful in attaining materials for engineering Augments.

Ticket capacity[edit]

The maximum number of Reward Tickets one can have at once depends on the player's BLADE level. At level 10, 9999 tickets may be held at once.

In the Definitive Edition, BLADE level was removed, and the player can have a maximum of 9999 Material Tickets at any time.

Maximum Tickets by BLADE Level
Level Maximum tickets
1 300
2 400
3 600
4 700
5 800
6 950
7 1100
8 1400
9 1900
10 9999

Sources[edit]

Reward Tickets may be obtained in the following ways:

Offline[edit]

  • Finishing the Mira survey to 100% completion results in a reward of 5000 tickets. In the Wii U version, this is the only way to obtain tickets which does not rely on the discontinued online play.

Definitive Edition[edit]

  • Completing the survey of Mira and its continents on FrontierNav will grant tickets.

Online[edit]

Both Versions[edit]

  • Working towards and completing Squad Tasks results in every player in the Squad obtaining tickets. The number of tickets obtained is greater for the player who completes the Squad Task, but merely being logged in while other members of the Squad complete Squad Tasks may still result in a substantial amount of tickets being obtained over time.
  • A number of tickets are rewarded upon completion of a Squad Mission (to the players who participated in the mission only, and dependent on the Mission completed).

Wii U[edit]

Wii U online services were shut down on April 8th 2024.
  • Leveling a Scout up to Scout Level 3 will grant a small number of reward tickets (5 for a Level 60 scout).
  • Appendage Fragments from Global Nemeses may be sold at the Network Console for a relatively large number of tickets. This is the most effective way of obtaining Reward Tickets (when a Global Nemesis is active): fight the Nemesis, destroy all of its appendages, abandon the mission when the appendages are all destroyed, fight the Nemesis and destroy all of its appendages again, and repeat until many Appendage Fragments have been obtained. Then, the fragments may be sold for Reward Tickets.
    • It is worth more reward tickets to exchange the appendage fragments at the "Global Nemesis Battle Spoils" menu before the Global Nemesis flees or is defeated.
    • Once it leaves, all appendage fragments are automatically exchanged for 1 ticket each, which is much less than their worth when the Nemesis is active.

Definitive Edition[edit]

  • Leveling a Scout grants tickets based on the Scout's level. A level 99 scout will grant 83 material tickets when reaching scout level 2, 166 tickets when reaching level 3, and 496 at max level for 745 tickets per max level scout.
  • By going to OnlineRewardsDivision Rewards each day, the player will get 90 + 10*(RecruitedChrCount) material tickets. RecruitedChrCount is the total number of characters available for use in the "Reserve Members" section of the menu, including unavailable ones. The tickets awarded do not accumulate when uncollected.

Materials attainable via Reward Tickets[edit]

Main article: Material (XCX) § List of materials

All materials obtained from enemies can be gotten through Reward Tickets, with the exception of the Golden Cedar, Golden Chalice, Golden Fir Tree, Gold Ingot, and Golden Medal, which can only be found from the enemies that drop it.

The list in-game is sorted alphabetically based on the current language in the Wii U version, but in the Definitive Edition, it only uses the Japanese sort. Materials are set to be tracked or required for missions will appear first.
