Rare Blades are special Blades in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 that can be summoned from Core Crystals. Some Blades can only be summoned from special Core Crystals obtained through side quests. Unlike Legendary Blades, they are not essential to the game's plot, but have unique designs, skills and their own side quests that Common Blades lack.

Trivia

Although Poppi QTπ can only be obtained through a side quest and is insignificant to the game's main plot, she is considered a Legendary Blade and not a Rare Blade.
