This article is about Patroka in general. For gameplay information, see Patroka/Gameplay (XC2).

Patroka (ベンケイ) is character in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. She is a member of the Torna organization and Perdido's Driver.

Appearance and personality[edit]

Patroka is a slender woman about 170 cm (5'7") tall, with long straight black hair going down to her thighs, blunt bangs, and blue eyes with a red accent around her pupils. She wears a short white kimono with the sleeves tied up with a red ribbon over a black turtleneck leotard. Over them, she wears a loose open skirt matching her kimono with open sides similar to a hakama and a floral pattern on the bottom, as well as red and black armour pieces covering her abdomen, and reinforced shoulders. Her outfit is completed by matching long black gloves and black thigh-high socks with red accents, and black and red short boots with tall geta soles.

Patroka has a short-tempered and blunt personality, often coming out as aggressive and loudly expressing her boredom and distaste of things. She is a very meticulous person, almost obsessed with tidying, and will get irritated by disorganized things. She has a tendancy to sometimes procrastinate, and enjoys collecting a lot of weapons.

Story arc[edit]

Patroka is first heard of as Akhos reports to Malos upon his return from the Ancient Ship with Jin and Sever. Akhos informs them that Patroka is out hunting Drivers and taking their Core Crystals, as she often does. She is later first encountered in the Old Factory in Mor Ardain, as she and Mikhail just finished recovering ether furnaces they bought from Bana. The two of them interrupt Rex as he is putting an end to Bana's production of artificial Blades, Patroka claiming that the Nopon is still of use to them. She doesn't appreciate when Nia calls her and Mikhail "lowlifes", calling her a "traitorous rookie" in retaliation. She then interrupts Mikhail by hitting him in the face as he goes on a flamboyant speech, and refocuses him on their mission, which she declares to be killing Nia and retrieving the Aegis. She fights against the party alongside her Blade, Perdido, leading the offensive as Mikhail shoulders the defense with his own Blade, Cressidus. The tide of battle turns against them as Mòrag and Brighid join the fight. The two of them help Rex and Pyra corner the members of Torna, allowing Mythra to strike a precise blow with Siren and kill Cressidus and Perdido.

The death of Perdido enrages Patroka, who begins to radiate strange power as Mikhail helplessly tries to bring her back to reason. Her outburst is quickly snuffed out by the arrival of Fan la Norne, who pins her down with her power. Patroka can only curse as Mikhail decides on a retreat, picking her up and taking her back to the Monoceros to escape the area.
