Pandoria (サイカ) is a character in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. She is Zeke's Blade.

Appearance and personality

Pandoria is a female Blade with short green hair, green eyes, pointy ears, round foggy glasses, a mainly black and purple outfit, and light bulbs as her shoulders. She has a tail which resembles an electrical cord with a light bulb at the end, as well as a light bulb on her doll hat. These light bulbs are functional, as they light up in the dark.

Pandoria's outfit is mainly black and purple, with her front being slightly open to show her Core Crystal and a bra underneath. Her Core Crystal is mostly rectangular, although there is a triangular cut on the right side of the crystal. Pandoria's clothing pattern is black and purple, with a few patches on the front in the shape of hearts, as well as a bow tie underneath. These hearts are shown completely on her shoes, which have the same black and purple color scheme. Her gloves are long, extending with frills halfway down her forearm. Trailing behind her between her dress and her pants just to the right of her tail is a set of frills that trails behind her colored as a gradient going from bright purple to blue.

Personality-wise, Pandoria tends to mainly let her driver, Zeke, do the talking. She often mimics his movements when posing with him. When she talks, though, she tends to be very energetic yet snarky, with lines often making fun of her prince publicly. Despite that, she's very devoted to Zeke and very determined, as she's willing to do anything to protect Zeke and his friends from danger, no matter the cost to herself.

Lore

• Pandoria is Zeke's Blade, and has been for a long time prior to Xenoblade Chronicles 2, for at least ten years as Zeke left Tantal when he was about fifteen years old.. When Zeke was disowned by his father, she accompanied him in traveling Alrest.
• Between leaving Tantal and the events of Xenoblade 2, the pair was attacked by bandits, with Zeke nearly dying as a result. They were saved by Amalthus and the Praetorium, the former being reminded of losing his mother in a rare act of kindness towards a fellow human. Zeke assumes the bandits wanted to steal her Core Crystal and sell her. This makes for a strong, though unusual bond between Blade and Driver, not dissimilar to Rex's connection with Pyra and Mythra.
  • In order for both to survive, however, Pandoria lost a portion of her core, which was implanted in Zeke's chest.

  • While visiting Mor Ardain, Zeke was arrested Hardhaigh Palace's gate and they were thrown in jail due to him behaving suspiciously.
  • While visiting Uraya, Zeke was mistaken as a rookie soldier and the army made them both drill for 72 hours straight.
• Pandoria is the only known Blade capable of commanding a Titan, particularly Genbu, the host Titan of Tantal. This is likely why she specifically was the Tantal dynasty's heirloom Blade.
• While not outright stated, it's practically certain that Pandoria and Zeke wed and became Linka's parents.
  • Linka bears a very strong resemblance to Pandoria, having pointed ears, the same hair color, and a Core Crystal of the same shape.
  • This can also be further proven as Pandoria and Linka share the same Japanese voice actress.
    • Furthermore, their Japanese names are only one character apart. Pandoria is called Saika, or "サイカ". Linka's name is only anglicized from "リンカ"

• In Japanese, Pandoria is voiced by Ryo Hirohashi, who also voices Kirschwasser in Xenosaga: The Animation, and Linka in Future Redeemed.
• In English, Pandoria is voiced by Becca Stewart, who also voices young Amalthus.
