Over Despair and Animus is Track 9 on the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Kingdom of Torna Original Soundtrack and Disc 11, Track 9 on the Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtrack Trinity Box.
It plays in the battle against Malos in Auresco, and against Malos at The Soaring Rostrum (for the first phase of the battle).
It is a remix of Praetor Amalthus - The Acting God - (and, by extension, of Past from Far Distance).

This piece could be called the theme of Torna ~ The Golden Country. Although it was used in promotional videos, from the beginning this has been the Praetor of the Indoline Praetorium, Amalthus' theme, “Praetor Amalthus - The Acting God -”. At the root of the story, the existence of the Indoline Praetorium is so important that I decided to use an arrangement of the original piece. The acoustic guitar and percussion became the main sounds. Just as the characters' motives intersect, the sounds within this piece are intertwined.
