Ophion is Disc 2, Track 7 on the Xenoblade2 Original Soundtrack and Disc 7, Track 7 on the Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtrack Trinity Box.

It plays as the Old Factory's area theme between the second Lila fight and the Rosa fight, and for both phases of the Infernal Guldo boss in the Land of Morytha. It also plays in the following cutscenes:

  • Ophion appears out of the Cloud Sea as the party tries to approach the World Tree in Umon’s ship.
  • Pyra runs out of power in the fight against Vandham.
  • Bana and Muimui escape to Rosa in the Old Factory.
  • Malos summons Ophion after Rex awakens Pneuma.
  • The Infernal Guldo appears at Womb Center.
  • The rest of the party join the fight against the Infernal Guldo.
  • Amalthus summons Mor Ardain in the battle at the World Tree.
  • Niall issues an evacuation order of Alba Cavanich as Mor Ardain fires its chest laser under Amalthus's control.
  • The World Tree begins to disintegrate with the disappearance of the Conduit.

スピード感のある重厚な危機の曲のイメージで作ったものです。今こうやって曲を聴き返しながらライナーノーツを書いてきた中の最後の曲(執筆当時曲順が未定だったため)でもう書くことがなくなってきました(笑)そもそも僕は完成したものをほぼ聴き返しません。絶対に反省の念がよくない方向に出てしまうからです(←なんだそりゃ！)だから今地獄です(笑)。危機です！　お、この曲が頭でリピート再生してきた～。
