The Old Factory, also known as the Abandoned Factory, is a sub-area in Mor Ardain in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It is an old abandoned factory that Bana has restarted to produce Artificial Blades.

Layout[edit]

The Old Factory is a labyrinthine industrial complex featuring many rooms, each with a specific purpose, and multiple sets of catwalks inbetween them. It is located on the Ardainian Titan's chest area.

The main way of entry into the factory by land is through its warehouse, connected to the factory's main hub room by a corridor. In this hub, many facilities can be found, most of them near the walls, such as the Nopon worker's quarters, the Work Observation Tower, the Heat Storage, and the Production Admin Office. Unlike the other facilities, the Quality Control Tower can be found in the middle of the room.

Underground, a line of conveyor is lined with incinerators, bringing any wastes to the Disused Processing Plant. Meanwhile, many catwalks link the top of the room's facilities. The hub is linked to two other parts of the factory, both to the north, the Ether Separation Tanks accessed by catwalks, and the Artificial Blade Adjustment, accessed through the Central Corridor.

The Ether Separation Tanks room features tanks filled with ether. Only one facility can be found there, to the northeast of the room, the Ether Control Tower. On the other hand, Artificial Blade Adjustment is a room that directly connects to the factory's port, Bulge Harbor.

Suspended pathways can be found outside of the factory, accessed through the Disused Processing Plant, leading to some of the factory's ventilation ducts.
