New Battle!!! is Disc 9, Track 2 on the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Original Soundtrack and Disc 20, Track 2 on the Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtrack Trinity Box.
It is the standard battle theme in Future Redeemed, and also plays in the following story battles:
- The Vatura Flak at the start of Chapter 1, including the opening panning shot over Cent-Omnia.
- Ghondor at the start of Chapter 2.
- The Skarn Volffs in Chapter 2.
- The Mystery Unit Captain and Mystery Unit Soldiers in Chapter 2.
- The Liberator Sentries in Chapter 2.
It also plays as the theme for the unique monster Fogdweller Abaasy rather than the standard You Will Know Our Names - Finale. Finally, it plays during the quiz sections of Instructor Panacea and The Junior Workforce.
It was used in promotional material for the game: The full track is playable on Future Redeemed's official Japanese website by pressing a button labelled 'BGM', and was also released in a tweet by XenobladeJP on Twitter.
The piece uses a motif from Mechanical Rhythm (from the music of Xenoblade Chronicles) in the rhythm guitar at 1:21, and from Still, Move Forward! (from the music of Xenoblade Chronicles 2).
Album notes[edit]
- Album notes written by Kenji Hiramatsu. No official translation exists.
Trivia[edit]
- New Battle!!! continues a trend of Xenoblade standard battle themes having similar titles and increasing numbers of exclamation marks; it follows Time to Fight! (literally translated as 'Battle!') from Xenoblade Chronicles and Battle!! from Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
- An alternate version of New Battle!!! plays in the Korean version of the 19th April 2023 trailer for Future Redeemed. It has noticeably different balancing from the version in game and on the OST.
