Nephilim is Disc 2, Track 2 on the Xenosaga Original Soundtrack and Disc 1, Track 7 on the Xenosaga Episode I album.

It plays in the following cutscenes:

  • Nephilim tells Shion to understand and comfort Cherenkov in his final moments.
  • Nephilim greets Shion in KOS-MOS' subconscious domain.
  • Nephilim explains how the setting of Old Miltia was recreated in KOS-MOS' mind.

Nephilim is Track 10 on the Across the Kosmos Xenosaga piano collection. It is a piano arrangement of Nephilim, arranged and performed by Benyamin Nuss.

The track's arrangement features heavily in the promotional videos for Across the Kosmos; the first three videos promoting the album all use it as backing music.

Official translation

I stayed close to the original, as it was already a piano piece. However, I added touches of color inspired by the Romantic classical piano repertoire, bringing out the delicate emotions within the music.

既にピアノ曲であったこともあり、原曲に忠実なアレンジを目指しました。しかし、ロマン派のクラシック・ピアノのレパートリーからインスパイアされた色彩のタッチを加え、原曲の繊細な感情を引き出しました。
