Misaki Umase is a Japanese composer, arranger, lyricist, and performer of soundtrack music. She is co-composer of music new to the definitive edition of Xenoblade Chronicles X. Beyond this, she has composed music for a wide variety of media, most famously the Pretty Cure franchise.
Biography[edit]
Umase was born on the 20th of May, 1997 in Kakogawa, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. She started playing the piano when she was four years old,[1] and took piano lessons which taught her classical, jazz, and funk styles.[2] She went to Osaka College of Music with a major in composition. As a student, she composed various pieces of soundtrack music for anime and movies. Umase graduated with honours in 2020 and has continued to work as a composer until present.[1]
