Mika Kobayashi is a Japanese vocalist and songwriter that often collaborates with Hiroyuki Sawano. She appears as the singer for various songs in Xenoblade Chronicles X.
Biography[edit]
Kobayashi has been singing and playing the piano since she was five[source required], however, she kept that as a hobby.[1] When she was in high school she formed a band and became the vocalist of said band, this led her to the decision of persuing a vocal career.[2] At 18, she moved to Tokyo to become a composer.
At 22, she was awarded a grand prize at the "Kōsaku Shimada New Female Singer Audition", a vocal audition with over 1000 applicants.[2] At 25, in 2003, she finally found her own style and the one it suits her: her current piano-accompanied singing. According to her, this is when her real music activities actually began.[1] She first collaborated with Sawano in 2010 with the album Massugu na Otoko ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK, and became a key singer to Sawano's most famous works like Attack on Titan or Kill la Kill.
