Mechanical Rhythm is Disc 4, Track 15 on the Xenoblade Original Soundtrack. It is the battle theme for when the party attacks an enemy on all Mechonis locations with the exception of Sword Valley. It also plays in the cutscene when the Junks flies into the Ventilation Conduit in the Mechonis' Central Factory.

New Battle!!! from the music of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 uses a motif from this track. As part of a promotional video for Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, this track was rearranged by Tomori Kudo.

The piece was performed on both day 1 and day 2 of Nintendo Game Music Live!, a series of performances of Nintendo music by rock band and big band as part of the Nintendo Switch Experience event on 14/15 January 2017.

Mechanical Rhythm (Definitive Edition ver.) is Track 10 on the Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Sound Selection and Disc 3, Track 17 on the Xenoblade Definitive Edition Original Soundtrack and the Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtrack Trinity Box.

It is a rerecording of the original with altered balance, mixing, and orchestration. The guitar line at 1:52 is also entirely different in this rendition.

It plays in the same situations as the original.

The original version of Mechanical Rhythm is one of the music tracks in both Super Smash Bros. 4 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, available on the Gaur Plain and (in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate) the Cloud Sea of Alrest stages.

Sections of the piece were also included in the Xenoblade Chronicles Medley.

In Tetris 99[edit]

In Tetris 99, if the player uses the Definitive Edition themed skin, the Definitive Edition rearranged version of Mechanical Rhythm plays as the background music in-game when there are between 50 and 11 players remaining.
