Legendary Blades are Blades in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Torna ~ The Golden Country assigned to a certain Driver that are (usually) essential to the game's plot. They cannot be transferred to other Drivers using an Overdrive Protocol. They are distinguished by an icon containing three orange diamonds next to the crowns in their statistic box. All Legendary Blades have five crowns.

- All Poppi forms can have their element changed from their assigned default, determined by the installed Element Core.
- Poppi α has an Earth core pre-installed. She can be set to any of Earth, Electric, Ice, and Wind.
- Poppi QT has a Fire core pre-installed. She can be set to any of Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, and Dark.
- Poppi QTπ has an Ice core pre-installed. She can be set to any element: Fire, Water, Earth, Electric, Ice, Wind, Light, or Dark.
- Pneuma's Specials are changeable in battle to any element, and all other damage dealt by her is automatically of the enemy's elemental weakness.
- Wulfric's Core Crystal is obtained as part of the main plot, but his statistic box showcases two pink diamonds rather than three orange diamonds. He is therefore considered a Rare Blade.
