Laia
Laias are an enemy species in Xenoblade Chronicles, Future Connected, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Torna ~ The Golden Country, and Future Redeemed. They are large flying creatures that resemble manta rays with three pairs of wings.
Xenoblade Chronicles[edit]
There are two sub-species of Laia. One is greenish with a smooth body, found at Eryth Sea and the Bionis' Shoulder. The other appears much like a dark Moramora, covered in deep purple scales, which are native to Prison Island. Many of this second type are referred to as Skyrays.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2[edit]
Laias are found in Temperantia and in Tantal, during Cloud Sea mist weather. Only the "dark Moramora" variant appears; the smooth green variant is not present.

Only Laia Fossils are found in the Cadensia Region and are presumably extinct after the events of Future Redeemed.
Future Redeemed[edit]
Newgate Laias are found on Prison Island as in the first game. There are also Fogbeasts that take the form of Laias.
Trivia[edit]
- According to Melia, Skyray fossils have been found all around Alcamoth prior to the party's arrival to Prison Island.
