Kousuke Yamashita is a Japanese composer of video game and soundtrack music. He has been the lead composer for several pieces of spinoff media in the Xenosaga franchise: Xenosaga: The Animation and Xenosaga I & II.
Biography[edit]
Yamashita was born on the 17th of February, 1974, in Hamamatsu in the Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. He went to the Shizuoka Prefectural Iwata Minami High School and then to the Tokyo College of Music. His first work as a soundtrack composer was for the movie Mikeneko Holmes no Suiri in 1996.[1]
Yamashita has been a guest lecturer at the Senzoku Gakuen College of Music since at least 2012,[2] and is also a board member of the Japanese Composer Arranger Association.[3]
