Junks is the Machina airship of Miqol and a story-exclusive area in Xenoblade Chronicles. It is not listed as its own area in the menu and cannot be revisited.
Geography[edit]
As its name suggests, the area consists entirely of the ship Junks, as it flies above the endless sea around the Bionis. Numerous Telethia can be seen surrounding the ship. While otherwise identical to its appearances in other areas, only the outside deck of the ship can be explored.
Story[edit]
Following Zanza's resurrection and Meyneth's death at the Mechonis Core, the party escapes the Mechonis on Junks. As they fly back to Bionis, Zanza tries to destroy them with the Bionis' Monado, but they are protected by Egil using the Mechonis to block the attack. Egil manages to land one final blow on the Bionis before he and the titan are destroyed by Zanza.
The party are then confronted by a swarm of Telethia led by Dickson. They struggle against the Telethia until they are aided by the arrival of Kallian and the Havres, but Dickson reveals that Lorithia is another of Zanza's disciples. Lorithia then triggers a mechanism in the Havres that causes them and the High Entia aboard to transform into Telethia, the two explaining that the High Entia were created by Zanza to become Telethia to aid in destroying all life for the recreation of the world. However, Kallian manages to maintain control of his transformed body and attacks Dickson and Lorithia, allowing Junks to retreat.
