The Junk Sword (ジャンクソード, Junk Sword) is Shulk's starting weapon in Xenoblade Chronicles. It is a simple sword he crafted before the game began.
While the game's programming does allow the Junk Sword to be sold or unequipped, the player cannot do so in practice because there are no other weapons for Shulk to equip instead. Once Shulk gets the Monado, the Junk Sword is permanently removed from the player's inventory.
Trivia[edit]
- There are some unused variants of the Junk Sword that suggest at one point Shulk could acquire and use multiple different weapons before obtaining the Monado. This would explain why the Junk Sword can be unequipped and sold.
