Appearance and personality[edit]
Jade Face is a Face Mechon mostly covered in green armour. It bears a strong resemblance to Metal Face's skeletal chassis, with a thin spine connecting a ball-like hip to a ribcage-like torso. While the arms are somewhat simple, the legs and tail engine have various juts, and there are two large pauldrons on each shoulder. On the Mechon's back are its weapons, twin laster cannons.
Jade Face is the first Face to undergo a memory-erasuse procedure, so he has no personality. His only behaviour is to parrot his master's wishes.
Story arc[edit]
After the failure of Metal Face, Egil decides that he must purge Face Mechon of their memories if they wish to remain useful to him. Jade Face is the first one he does this to, picking one with strong memories in order to demonstrate his superiority of idea. As the memories shown are of Sharla, it is immediately evident that its pilot is Gadolt, her long-lost fiancé.
Jade Face stalks the party as they climb Mechonis, only showing himself with a surprise attack halfway up. He forces them through a long gauntlet of his sniper fire before they can actually fight him, at which point Sharla demands to see Gadolt. Gadolt shows himself, but also shows that he is only a puppet of Egil's now, and fires one final shot before leaving. The Face is found and fought again at Agniratha, where the party manage to break Egil's control and restore Gadolt's memories. Finally, Jade Face is destroyed with Gadolt as he saves them from an explosion.
