Info items are items in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country. They are obtained by purchasing them from Informants, sometimes awarded after completing a Merc Mission and rarely given by NPCs.
The player's current list of info items can be seen in the menu under 'Item List', in the 'Info items' tab, represented with an icon resembling a piece of paper.
Uses[edit]
Info items have various uses:
- Most of them give pointers on gameplay mechanics, such as Blade Switch teaching that a higher level of Trust reduces the cooldown between Blade Switches.
- Some are required to trigger or progress quests, such as Where's Falala's Son?, or open another route, such as Top Secret Papers enabling Hard to Stomach's B route.
- Some are required for certain events to happen, such as Greedy Monster making it possible for Gluttonous Marrin to appear.
- Some are recipes, adding a new craftable pouch item for Pyra's cooking or the Torna ~ The Golden Country party's various crafting abilities.
