The Ignas Gate Cave is an area in Xenogears. It contains one of the three Gates hiding Solaris from the surface. Before its true nature is revealed, it is known as Hermit's Hole.
Story[edit]
When the party is successful in fighting off Shakhan from taking the Omnigear Andvari within Ft. Jasper, Shakhan flees to the nearby Ignas Gate Cave. The party follows him there and after fighting off some of his subordinates ands confront him before the Gate. Grahf appears and provides Shakhan's Gear with further power. However the party is successful in defeating Shakhan and he is killed when the Gate is destroyed.
