Hostile Colony (Dynamic) is Disc 2, Track 14 on the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Original Soundtrack and Disc 13, Track 14 on the Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtrack Trinity Box. Hostile Colony is a version of this track with substantially more instrumentation.
It plays as the area theme in the following instances, often including the preceding cutscenes:
- From when the Kevesi Special Forces are attacked by their compatriots to when the Agnian Special Forces arrive back at Gura Flava Camp in Chapter 1 (including intervening cutscenes).
- While the party tries to escape Colony 4 through the Gorge of Odie until they arrive at Hegemon's Seat in Chapter 2 (not including intervening cutscenes).
- In Colony 30 before it is liberated.
- In Colony Omega until the party defeats the Colony Omega Pipers in Side Story: Mio (including cutscenes in the colony until this point).
- In the Gardin Defense Base.
- In Colony 9 from the start of Where The Heart Is until the quest's completion.
- In the Cradle Convoy Shelter until Moebius H is defeated during Side Story: Lanz.
- In Colony 15 until its Flame Clock is broken.
- From when Matthew hears signs of a battle between colonies to when Consul Q and Consul R are defeated in Chapter 1 of Future Redeemed.
The track smoothly transitions into the equivalent point in Hostile Colony when battle starts, and is smoothly transitioned back into once battle concludes.
It also plays in the following cutscenes:
- The party finds, loses, and then re-finds the Basreek Feris during Second Day of Prison.
- The Agnus Heavy Scouts are defeated by the party during For Colony 9.
The track is one of few area themes to override Rest Spot and Iris Network.

「Hostile Colony」 に対してこちらはメロディを前面に出さずアンビエンス系シンセサイザーとリズム楽器主体 で仕上げました。 インタラクティブを想定して実験を重ね作っていったのですが、 実装後それを体験できたのは 発売後の皆さんと同じタイミング・・・・ 結果バッチリ仕上がっていて心の中でガッツポーズ! なおゲーム内で両曲 は同じ尺構成でシームレスに切り替わる形ですが、 こちらのサントラバージョンは若干コンパクトに編集されてい ます。
Trivia[edit]
- In early versions of the game, the transition to Hostile Colony was not smooth in the Chapter 2 instance for the first battle after the cutscene near Bennel Cave Camp. This was patched in release 1.2.1.
