Heart in the Fog is Disc 5, Track 9 on the Xenoblade2 Original Soundtrack and Disc 10, Track 9 on the Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtrack Trinity Box.
It plays in the following cutscenes:
- The party collects themselves after being swallowed by the Urayan Titan.
- Nia notices Pyra has left the inn in Fonsa Myma.
- Nia consumes her 'sister's' flesh and becomes a Flesh Eater, followed by her father's death and Dromarch's awakening (flashback).
- Jin reveals the Blades that died in the process of becoming Titans in the Tornan Titan's matrix.
- Rex sees a vision of Nia hating him for not noticing her in favour of Pyra.
- Azami uses her Clairvoyant Eye (both times) during her Blade Quest, All's Fair.
- Ursula stops playing in Argentum out of shyness during her Blade Quest, Bearing Her Soul.

ゲーム内で聴いて印象に残らない曲ナンバー１かもしれないですが、イベントシーンではいい感じに後ろにいてくれたのではないかと思います。こちらの曲は全て打ち込みです。木管楽器を生で録る選択肢もあったのですが、これは打ち込みならではの無機質感が出た方がきっと雰囲気が出るだろうと思ったのでした。正式な曲名が付く前は「霧中」と書かれていましたので、前が見えない不安感を全面に出して作りました。
