Ghost
The Ghosts are one of the two alien forces that attacked Earth during the opening of Xenoblade Chronicles X. Little is known about them.
Appearance[edit]
The Ghosts are only shown from their spaceships and their combat mechs. Their flagship seems to be a large purple comet, while other ships and weapons appear to be composed of a dark substance that glows purple.
Their largest ships are about four times the size of a normal Skell.

Story arc[edit]
On July, 2054 A.D., the Ghosts and the Ganglion both come to Earth in order to fight each other. The Ghosts appear from the direction of the sun, while the Ganglion come from the direction of the Moon. Both factions destroy Skells and interstellar arks that try to escape the battle. Eventually, the Earth is destroyed.
Two years later, the Ghost ships come to the White Whale as it flies through space. They manage to breach the habitat unit. One Skell, later revealed to be piloted by Elma and her partner, manages to fight off the Ghosts, flying into a Large Ghost fighter to launch them out of the habitat unit and then firing a laser to destroy a large amount of Ghosts. However, the Ghost attack caused heavy damage to the ship, and the White Whale gets pulled into the gravitational field of Mira.
For reasons unknown, the Ghosts do not enter Mira themselves.
Lore[edit]
- According to Forging BLADE, the two warring factions are divided based on the materials used to make their bodies[1]. Since the Ganglion largely consist of humanoids (carbon and even silicon based), it's likely the Ghosts are not organic in nature.
- The Ghosts' fighters are biological weapons.[2]
- The Ghosts are not mentioned by name in-game, but Art of MIRA uses the name to refer to them when showing their art.
- From the front, the Ghosts' flagship appearance somewhat resembles that of Origin from Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
- Ghosts are mentioned in the lyrics of Black tar.[3]
